Caolinn Mejza

Caolinn Mejza is a rising 3L at NYU Law. Originally from Las Vegas, she graduated from the University of Southern California in 2017 with a double major in public relations and political science. Prior to attending law school, Caolinn was a public affairs professional with work experiences in both Los Angeles' private and public sectors. She was a Summer Associate at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP during her 1L summer and will be spending her 2L summer at Cooley LLP. She is an Online Editor for the NYU Law Review and served as Outreach Chair for NYU's Asian-Pacific American Law Students Association. In her free time she enjoys getting lost in Central Park, skiing and long road trips.

Devin McCowan

Devin McCowan is a rising 3L at NYU Law. Devin grew up in Saint Louis, Missouri and got a B.A. in French, Gender Studies, and Economics from Marquette University in 2020. He then directly transitioned into law school where he worked at the NAACP Legal Defense Fund during his 1L summer and will spend his 2L summer at the Federal Defenders of San Diego. Devin is the Diversity and Membership Editor of the New York University Law Review, the former Co-Chair of OUTLaw, and Public Interest Chair of the Black Allied Law Student Association. Devin likes to read queer fiction, play narrative-focused video games, and spend time all around New York CIty with his friends.

Francesca Merrick

Francesca Merrick is a J.D candidate at NYU School of Law, and an online editor for NYU Law Review where she also serves as Wellness Chair. Prior to law school, she studied philosophy at Columbia University. When not reading textbooks or editing podcasts, she enjoys traveling, baking, and finding new plants to add to her ever-growing collection.

Harry Rube

Harry Rube is currently a JD candidate at NYU Law, where he is an Online Editor for the NYU Law Review. Originally from Central New York, he graduated in 2016 from Bowdoin College. Before attending law school, he worked for several years in Washington D.C. managing digital fundraising and advocacy campaigns for political candidates and nonprofit organizations. His work during law school has focused on civil rights impact litigation and government oversight work. In his free time, Harry enjoys writing, playing, and recording music.

James Ganas

James Ganas is a J.D. candidate at NYU Law. He is an AnBryce Scholar and the inaugural Charles Klein Scholar. As a member of NYU Law Review, James serves as an Articles Editor. He is the author of a piece in the NYU Law Review Forum on property insurance litigation and COVID-19. James graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Arts in 2014. He has been a Summer Associate at Cravath, Swaine & Moore and Paul, Weiss and an extern with the civil litigation division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Eastern District of New York. Outside of law school, James enjoys trying vegan restaurants in New York and otherwise exploring the city.

Michael Hengerer

Michael Hengerer is a J.D. candidate at NYU Law and a member of the NYU Law Review.  Michael graduated from New York University with a Bachelor of Arts in 2016, and  currently serves on NYU’s Alumni Association as a director and chair of the Fundraising Committee.  Before beginning his legal education, Michael worked at Goldman Sachs where he developed and managed leadership and diversity training initiative for mid- and senior-level managers.  In his spare time, Michael is an avid runner and enjoys cooking and baking.
